I couldn't guess the number of times I've read my current novel, but it's too damn many. Of course re-reading is a necessary evil...and it is evil. As I'm going through it (again) I'm thinking, "yea, blah blah blah, then she said...then he said..." I'm kind of sick of these people, to be honest.
I'm currently revising for the last, the very last time and it's pure torture. When I say revising, I really mean rearranging. I've plucked some passages from one spot and transported them to a place where they fit better. But that doesn't change the words, alas.
So I continue to read and read.
Damn, I just want to be done already.
